I am a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Apple Inc. in Seattle, WA, where I work on advancing large-scale Deep learning systems for Siri and Apple Intelligence. My primary interests lie in building and training novel Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Multi-modal Foundation models—general-purpose models capable of understanding and generating language while integrating information across modalities such as text, vision, and speech.

Prior to Apple, I worked at Amazon Alexa AI in Los Angeles, focusing on open-domain question answering and conversational AI. My work involved large-scale language understanding, retrieval systems, and response generation to improve real-world user interactions.

Earlier in my career, I was a Member of Technical Staff at Oracle Labs, the research division of Oracle Corporation, in Bangalore, India. In this role, I worked at the intersection of research and production systems, contributing to scalable infrastructure and applied machine learning initiatives. This experience provided me with a strong foundation in building robust, high-performance systems and continues to shape how I design and deploy ML solutions today.

During my academic training, I also gained industry and research experience through internships at Cloudera, Amazon, and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) under Prof. Yogesh Simmhan, where I worked on deep learning problems spanning large-scale data systems, representation learning, and applied AI research.

I earned my Master of Science degree in Computer Science from North Carolina State University, where I deepened my expertise in deep learning and natural language processing. I worked as a Research Assistant under Prof. Julie Swann in the healthcare AI domain where we co-published a paper. I also completed my undergraduate studies at Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani, graduating with a double major in Computer Science and Physics. My interdisciplinary background has been instrumental in shaping my analytical and research-driven approach to engineering.
